jeffery schauer 0 #1 Posted 3 hours ago 1980 D160. Newbie. This has the 105027 6 prong switch. Has PTO and loader. Electric clutch PTO. Hours of searching cannot find. Hoping someone has info to find or update to different switch. Do NOT want to bypass any safety features. I have the engine and tractor schematics but not understanding how this switch works to convert to something else. Broke off the center red wire prong while removing switch from dash to clean and test. Biggest switch shoved right behind the steering column......
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 12,265 #2 Posted 1 hour ago I think a double pole single throw toggle switch should work. This is two separate switches in one controlled by the same toggle. A 10 or 15 amp switch should be adequate. A double pole double throw switch may be easier to find. They are the same 2 switches in one but the toggle is ON OFF ON. You would use one ON OFF. One side for the starter circuit. The other side for the ignition. Instead of the yellow wire going from the ignition power to the pto clutch add a relay and have the relay coil powered by the yellow wire. That way the relay carries the heavy pto load instead of the switch. Here is a link to a switch from a Canadian company similar to Harbour Freight. https://www.princessauto.com/en/product/on-off-on-toggle-switch/PA0008161721/8161721 A relay and socket https://www.princessauto.com/en/product/12v-dc-change-over-relay-with-sockets/PA1000003067
