What’s Hot and What’s not this year?

Big Show Question

Looking through the inventory (left over parts) anyone got any insight for what is hot this year to sell at the show?

20 days out seems like the show talk is a little slow??

Might just gather up some totes of parts and one old machine and see what happens.

WHX??

Hard to say Joe. I hope gas prices don't keep folks away. Wouldn't think so given the traffic on roads but :confusion-shrug:

Thinkin whole low end tractors are gonna be the ticket.

:confusion-confused: I predict that the most sought-after item will be the one you looked at and left home because you convinced yourself no one would want it.  :teasing-poke:

The item that I'll be looking for, it always works that way.

Thinking about you the other day. (ya must have been hard up in the thinking department) lol

But anyway, i was washing out some paint and primer buckets with lids (the good HD ones) the kid had left over in the garage. She was tossing them and I picked them out of the trash. Looked at me with one of those "really" looks.

Question.....is there and age when a man gets the urge to keep 5 gallon buckets?

I am there.

As a teenager I was working as a carpenters apprentice on a job site and was looking for a bucket. I opened a 5 gallon spackle bucket in the dumpster. Lets just say that I’ll never do that again!

I'm almost at the age where I need to transition to two gallon buckets, the fives just get too heavy and the ten gallon totes, foregit about it.

As @953 nut said, he's almost at that age where he needs to transition to 2-gallon buckets. Almost at the age? Well I'm not quite as old as you Dick, and I'm there already. I'm just bringing my brake linings. They are fairly easy to handle.

Maybe 29?

I still have some surviving spackle buckets from building my home over 40 years ago in my early 30’s. Been keeping any that come my way since and they don't leave unless damaged beyond usability or gifted to deserving individuals.

Just yesterday i grabbed one of the nicer 90mm ones that still has a smooth rim and set up a DustTopper dust collection system (the standard HDs are only 70mm and will collapse under vacuum).

I'm there for sure.   Every year when I get back from the Big Show, many unsold heavy items go on the scrappers pile.   Last year I scrapped many axles and deck support hardware.

Absolutely... my dad had a nice collection in his 80's. At least 100.
