eric8 5 #1 Posted 20 hours ago Apparently mine is missing in action and part is no longer available. Parts breakdown says this should be 21” long rubber hose exiting the bottom of the battery tray and going (somewhere?). Any idea on what spec this hose is? OD, ID, SAE spec maybe printed on the hose for those who still have it intact? (Yes I’m a little over the top on stuff) 😄

If not, I wouldn't worry about it. I've owned about 20 Wheel Horses over the years and since batteries became mostly maintenance free, I've never needed a drain. You're better off just cutting some 1/4 inch rubber mat to place in the bottom of the tray. 1
cleat 8,985 #3 Posted 18 hours ago Here are all the pics I could find of the tube in my last rebuild. + I'm not sure about the size offhand but if you take your battery tray in you should be able to find a tube that fits the nipple coming out the bottom of it. That said, I don't usually bother installing this tube but since this tractor had it I installed it. 1
eric8 5 #4 Posted 17 hours ago Excellent photos, thanks! I assume since yours was still there, the clear looking tube is original. I would have never got the routing correct without those pics. i have a lead acid battery with the caps so id like to have the drain.

This amused me during my 500 rebuild. Maintenance-free battery so unlikely to need a drain and it’d empty out right on top of the mower deck!
