Have a conundrum… gonna be running hopefully driving my 856 tomorrow after a year of various work on it and delay.. has new fuel line.. aftermarket Amazon carb.. never filled or run with fuel yet.. new fuel filter.. fuel clamps.. brand new never run electronic fuel pump.. I have 2 and 5 gallon plastic gas cans of gas cans non ethanol fuel without stabol.. stored under a lean too.. central Florida. Fuel bought specifically for tractor but now is probably a year old now.. should I use it in tractor or empty and fill with new non ethanol fuel and put in stabil in cans this time for unused fuel
adsm08 4,506 #4 Posted Monday at 01:20 AM (edited) Yes, that tank holds 1/2 a gallon. I'd put about a quart in the tractor and see how it runs on that stuff. If it runs poorly don't waste the old fuel, just put it in a car, the car will run fine even on stale fuel, then get fresh for the tractor. If you only have half a tank, or a little less, of stale fuel that leaves plenty of room to dilute it with fresh. I try not to store fuel more than a few weeks, but it should be good for at least six months. Edited Monday at 01:22 AM by adsm08

The only you need to know is you can ride for hours on one tank. These little K181 are great gas mileage with these engines..

I use it all the time regardless if it’s ethanol or non ethanol. What I use you can put two cap fulls that will treat 2.5 gallons. So pretty cheap to use. I was surprised at just how long it took to empty it from the fuel valve beneath the tank.

No snow hear from my guess is mowing short grass and or towing a yard cart would be less stress than heavy wet snow so probably better time than that in my case. Thank you for the comparison.
