Beap52 2,341 #1 Posted May 27 The rabbits have been causing me grief this year in my garden. So I made portable fencing. Used 2x2's, ripped them in half, applied the wire and screwed the two halves together. They are about seven feet long so easy to move and store. I used cull treated lumber from local lumber yard for half price and scraps I had lying around. The legs of the mole traps slip into the upright pipes and hook over the top 2x2 and hold the fencing upright. Hopefully it will discourage the deer as well. In the background there are two rabbits.
Beap52 2,341 #2 Posted 5 hours ago The fencing seems to be working. Just finished eating green beans. Zucchini squash is now being shared with neighbors. broccoli in refrigerator ready to be eaten as well as cabbage, eggplant, onions, peppers and of course tomatoes are lying on the kitchen countertop awaiting a bacon sandwich. The fencing is working out well, in that, I can slide it back and forth like a bi-pass door to have access to the vegetables. Each morning, I'm getting about enough blackberries (in the background) to make a pie.
