Reddart 213 #1 Posted 13 hours ago PTO seems to be slipping with the mower deck this season. The lever adjustment is all the way down, so I assume that means a new clutch plate or friction plate is needed? Is there any how to on the site for this? also, can I just replace the friction disk, or is a new clutch plate needed? Anything else I should change while I have the PTO pulley off? ebinmaine 78,703 #2 Posted 13 hours ago @76c12091520h Brian Badman has the clutch discs. You'll also want to clean, check, and re-lube the PTO bearings. While it's all detached check every pivot point in the lever system. 3

ri702bill 12,062 #4 Posted 12 hours ago If your chutch disc is worn down to the heads of the brass rivets, it's time to change it. There was a post a while back about just replacimg the friction material part..... IMHO, that's too much like work. Easier, simpler & faster to get a new one. NOTE - The replacements are usually 6" in diameter - the OE may have been a tad smaller. Either fit the C series...

wallfish 19,930 #6 Posted 4 hours ago It's always a good idea to resurface the bell housing as well. The flat that makes contact with the clutch plate. I've used a belt sandder to do since I don't have the machining tools to mill or lathe it flat. Pull the bell housing off to inspect it. Also make sure the roll pin which holds that little bracket to the hoop is intact. If that breaks you can't adjust it enough to get the tension tight enough.
