ohiofarmer 3,398 #1 Posted 1 hour ago Proud papa here. My daughter defended her dissertation two weeks ago and earned her doctorate in higher education. No she will not become a professor in all likelihood.. She is employed by the university and does research projects as directed by them. She loves her job and is getting good feedback and appreciation from her group. She is living in Ann Arbor so we see her when we can. oliver2-44 11,460 #3 Posted 1 hour ago That"s a huge accomplishment and a Gorrila off her back. My wife was at the 6 year mark when she defended her Dissertation. (Stressful times with 3 kids in the house) 7 years is the limit from starting Doctorial course work.
