sqrlgtr 2,771 #1 Posted 12 hours ago (edited) Wanting to add an electric fuel pump to my 520H and was hoping to get some ideas/suggestions/pics of mounting locations. I done a search on here, but a lot of the pics are gone and not much about mounting locations but more about wiring. Pics don't necessarily have to be 520's only. I have everything to add a rear lift to the 520 so under the seat/fender may be out (looks to be really tight) but I havent had a chance to check it out good yet. This is the pump I will be installing. Thanks for your attention to this matter!!! Edited 12 hours ago by sqrlgtr
Bill D 2,798 #2 Posted 12 hours ago (edited) I substituted the NLA Onan pump for this Kawasaki pump. Mounting bracket is from a Kawasaki. If you go the electric pump route, connect the positive wire to the positive terminal on the coil. If the safeties are activated the pump will shut down along with the engine. Mounting bracket is from a Kawasaki. @Bill D How does the Onan crank with that style pump. The hard to start after setting is only thing I have against the pump I have now it runs good just hard to start after setting for a few days. I put a one-way fuel valve on it at the tank, and it helped a bunch but still cranks over longer than I would like after setting. This is where I had planned on putting it but would like to run that rock shaft I got from you also. 5 hours ago, WHX?? said: Pan stand was out for paint. This is the only place on a 520 for it. sqrlgtr 2,771 #6 Posted 3 hours ago I wonder if anyone has tried to stiff one beside the motion cam control cage? Looks tight but sure would be out of the way.
Racinbob 12,923 #7 Posted 1 hour ago (edited) My 2005 Classic has it under the seat. That spot is filled by the filter on a hydro. The 314-H I no longer have. I was a bit hesitant because of the long fuel line run on my 76 Reborn B-80 but it works great. The Dino C-121 Edited 1 hour ago by Racinbob
