702854boy 661 #1 Posted 19 hours ago What lights do you guys recommend using for the tractors light the 314s and stuff that use the round bulb in the hood? What plugs would you guys recommend? I got some lights off marketplace for my grandpa's cub cadet but the bulbs aren't in the best condition and I am pretty sure they use the same bulbs.
CCW 1,495 #2 Posted 17 hours ago (edited) I would say it depends on your need for headlights. Having no need for them at night I just wanted some to make the front end look better on my 312-8. The local auto parts store had what I required. If you want better illumination for night time plowing then others on here have better options that are pricier but brighter. Thew will chime in or try a search for LED lights. Edited 16 hours ago by CCW
MainelyWheelhorse 2,440 #3 Posted 17 hours ago I’ve got Par 36 LED landscape lights on my 308 and 312. They can be found at Home Depot, possibly Lowe’s and Amazon to name a few places. They vary in price and intensity it all depends on how much you want to spend. My C-141 has 1156 marker lights you can find at any auto parts store.
ri702bill 11,935 #4 Posted 14 hours ago IF you are going for improved brightness, LED's are the way to go. You get more brightness with less amp draw & way less heat. Whatever you use, do spend some time upgrading the back reflective surfaces of the headlight buckets. Silver foil self stick tape, or flat white paint both work well.....

PAR 36 is a common bulb, and LEDs are easier to find than old incandescent. They are brighter, use less power, and last forever. LED is the way to go. First pic below is an old incandescent. The rest are LED for comparison. Edited 4 hours ago by kpinnc
