Oh that.. forgot about it. blurry picture.. looks the steering column is bolted thru the frame. debating if better to use existing sulky bolt holes or having it welded on frame. Did those steering wheels actually steer from that wheel? Edited April 18 by FLtractor

Make the tongue extra long and fit a trailer bed on it to carry all the goodies bought at the shows. It would be like one of those long rear steering city fire trucks. Something different
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 12,233 #8 Posted April 18 The steering sulky front hitch mounts on the left and right sides of the tractor. This way the sulky and tractor stay straight and do not pivot but allow for up and down movement. The steering shaft turns the small pulley on the bottom that controls the crossed cable to the rear axle spindles. When you turn to the right the sulky steers to the left turning the 2-wheel tractor to the right with it.

squonk 46,547 #11 Posted April 19 Your standard Gravely sulky didn't have any handles or steering. You held onto the tractor handles and it pivoted on the ball hitch.

And you learned real fast that you shouldn't turn while going through a small ditch. Those handles would come down and catch the family jewels in a heartbeat. Was thinking of seeing if I can find a clip on handle of some sort or to bolt or have welded on a round 3-4 foot piece metal and maybe put a steering wheel or handle on and wouldn’t be a problem with ditch if ever because it’s one piece of my sukly and not seperate such as the engine and seat
