I have seen them with a steering wheel added to give the passenger something to hold on to.

Was it a straight or curved shaft for support?
bolted to existing bolts or welded?

Oh that.. forgot about it.

blurry picture.. looks the steering column is bolted thru the frame.
debating if better to use existing sulky bolt holes or having it welded on frame. Did those steering wheels actually steer from that wheel?

Absolutely. There is one that has shown up at the Big Show.

Yeah.

Make the tongue extra long and fit a trailer bed on it to carry all the goodies bought at the shows.

It would be like one of those long rear steering city fire trucks. Something different

The steering sulky front hitch mounts on the left and right sides of the tractor. This way the sulky and tractor stay straight and do not pivot but allow for up and down movement.

The steering shaft turns the small pulley on the bottom that controls the crossed cable to the rear axle spindles. When you turn to the right the sulky steers to the left turning the 2-wheel tractor to the right with it.

Thank you for the explanation.
