Brockport Bill 2,254 #1 Posted 18 hours ago Perhaps the Forum Administrators or other members can help clarify this issue? the B100 Tractor is listed as manufactured in 74,75,76,77............there were 36 inch mower decks listed for those respective years as models 5-0721; 5-0621; 5-0722; 5-0622; 65-36ms01; 65-36xr01; 75-36ms01; and 75-36xr01. Also perhaps, 76-36xr01 ???? there were "next generation" or "successor" 36" rear discharge model decks including later in the 80's --- eg: 36 inch r.d. models 05-36mr01,and 02,03,04 etc Can the 36 inch decks from the 80's be used on the B100 of the 1970s? Are they compatible? Thanks, Bill

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 12,071 #4 Posted 12 hours ago This is a list put together from the Attachment Interchange. It lists the deck (2) that replaced the original (1) and the deck that was available when the Interchange was created (4). What is missing are the decks (3) between (2) and (4). They are listed but you have to follow a deck year by year to find the others. Racinbob 12,850 #5 Posted 12 hours ago The decks thru their final year in 2007 will work just fine on the 1977 and older B's. I'm still using a deck I purchased in the 70's on my 2005. I initially purchased it for a 76 B. Keep in mind that in 78 the B-series became lawn tractors so the interchangeability isn't there.
clueless 3,361 #6 Posted 8 hours ago My 1974 B-80 came with a 36" RD deck, that is pretty much the same as the one that came with my 1987 310-8.

My issue is trying to confirm if a mower deck like a 1980's 36 inch 05-36mr01 fits on an older B100 tractor from the prior decade of the 1970s - - - - the Interchange does not provide that information? That's the confirmation I am seeking? thanks, Bill

Racinbob 12,850 #10 Posted 2 hours ago Those interchange lists can't see into the future. Just rest assured, ALL the decks from the tach-a-matic years are interchangeable. Just to simplify things, ignore the 37" and 60" and the lawn tractors. That means from 72-73 thru 2007. Any differences in the p/n's doesn't affect the interchangeability. I'm running a late 70's deck on a 2005 and a 2005 deck on a 1976. It's as simple as that.

Yes the machine came with the deck on the front of the manual that I highlighted. in the later 80's I purchased a new deck and replaced the original one. the one in the pic is the newer 80's deck
