FLtractor 130 #1 Posted Saturday at 11:01 AM Morning, Came across this on marketplace.. seller about 50 miles round trip.. asking $10.00. Said he’s sat on seat and it’s not rusted through but will need 2 new 4.80/4.00-8 tires. Had idea of once I get my 856 driving running again. Would it be a safe or good idea to fix this up, paint it to match 856 and have someone ride on it behind possibly with a tongue extension between the tractor hitch and sulky?

Looks like a Gravely sulky If I drive extra careful slow and on flat ground… could I put the sulky behind a metal yard wagon that weighs a couple hundreds pounds of steel. Big huge turf saver tires. Welded hitch holes for pins on each end and handle on one that pivots the front wheels.. it was a roofing cart used to move materials on buildings.. I could put tractor- roofing cart- sulky. Thinking along the lines of having someone help me do yard work, load cart, and just be able to hop off the sulky similar to hangin on back of recycle truck ect Edited Saturday at 12:47 PM by FLtractor

I been watching James Bond movies in order they were made, and my first thought was ejector seat. Still believe Sean Connery made the best 007. Haven't decided which super villain is my favorite though

These are on VHS. They are still a thrill to watch. Back in the 60,s I had the slot racing J.B. set. Today that would worth some $$. Lane Ranger 11,871 #12 Posted yesterday at 01:38 PM You need to add a basket on that sulky to place all those parts you end up finding at Shows and Swap Meets! You won't regret adding that during your redo!

Would it be ideal to mount on the sulky, if so how would I go about doing so? Edited 21 hours ago by FLtractor

Streetrodchev 1,058 #17 Posted 10 hours ago Put a handle/ grab bar of some sort on there. The first time my wife rode on our sulky, I let out the clutch and she almost fell off backwards.

Yea I was thinking of one of those faucet with the coil that bends.. yet a handle that’s somewhat flexible with two handlebars each side so it’s rigid to be safe yet could bend to reach the sulky rider hands. If that makes sense, could probably just find a piece of rebar and add a T handle at the top and it would do the same ideal easier. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 12,049 #19 Posted 4 hours ago Be nice if you could find a ball for the clam shell hitch. They mount upside down to a normal trailer ball. The drawbar on the sulky is 1-1/4" schedule 40 water pipe. Slide the clam shell into the pipe and insert the pin to hold them there. This was used with a heavy front attachment on the 2-wheel tractors. The other casting with the hole in it is for when no front mounted heavy attachment was used. It is called a roller rest and the roller on the front rides on a flat bar to keep the 2-wheel tractor and sulky horizontal. The roller allows for turns. So if I kept the clamshell on the sulky.. the ONLY piece I need to safely tow it with the tractor is this ball here and it goes on upside down with the nut on top- just sits in the clamshell.. nothing else needed? More than I’d like to spend, gonna see if I can find cheaper option.. would this chrome ball 2 3/4 on eBay work as well upside down?
