AHS 1,628 #1 Posted Sunday at 11:44 PM Excuse me while i do a dance!! It’s my first C160! And an 8 speed! It’s pretty good shape for 52 years old. The F plate is alright. No, it hasn’t had a plow; cause the mount in back would mount the same way the hitch is. It seems, that it was just a tractor with a ball hitch attached to it? Who knows!! Now the down side: it doesn’t have a PTO clutch and the lever to engage the PTO. (I have all that!). Air filter and cover is completely missing. The ignition switch has been replaced with something funky, Chinese carb, the loud muffler. Etc.. Upside: 2 link chains, a set of krusty and cracked #75 wheel weights, a set of Firstone AG tires and a welded up sturdy ball hitch!! I have a spare 8hp muffler… maybe I’ll make that work. The carb… just the regular air filter gasket and three screws, the regular air filter box? The man said “it runs” and “ran last year”…. So; ill install the battery, new fuel line, fuel filter, carb clean and new points. The best part is; i got the C160 for $150! 9

Looks like the ball might be above the rear axle - not good for hard pulling.

peter lena 9,785 #9 Posted Monday at 12:22 PM @AHS very nice ! my first suggestion is to , wake that engine up easily ! your opportunity to immediately start a VARNISH CLEAN OUT , ON THE ENGINE , RISLONE ZDDP , read bottle specs , I use 4 oz for 2 qts of oil , also use a multi wt 10-30 , done a number of engines , also run it on heavily treated fresh gas , as hot engine time , builds , the chemical flush out , dissolves the varnish , this is not a 1 and done , would use this as a base line , on recovery , none of my engines , smoke in any way . oil color , condition is giving you a definite view of flushing . BTW VALVOLINE oils have the highest cleaning rate , would also get a penetrating oil spray down going on that paint , let it soak in for weeks , forget about it , then a mineral oil clean cloth rub down , no scratch pads , retains PATINA ,, drop trans oil , atf fluid drive around flushing agent , miles / time on that , new shift boot , done this same procedure , numerous times , it works . also drop carb bowl , run on seperate , gallon of fresh fuel , no engine smoke , pete 2

Now however, things are worn out. Do a search on the site.
