What do I have?

  Sold a 42”RD deck today, but to get to it I had to move around my mower deck pile. 
   Came across this old deck, no idea where I got it or what tractor it is for. Spins beautifully so that’s a plus. 
  Questions:

  1/ What vintage is it?

  2/ Is it complete or a parts deck?

  3/ And the dreaded question before I list it…what kinda value does it have?

I’m thinking RM-323 (1962-3?)

There were covers for the ends that are not present that kept the ends of the blades, which otherwise extend past the shell, enclosed

That is a very early 32" RM deck - about 1962 or so. Not complete - missing the triple pulley and the side covers. Looks to be solid. One quirk with those - the trunnions are used to tension the captured double belts and allows you to compensate for the side load of the PTO belt. One minus - manual height adjustment - unscrew the axle screw, move it to another hole.

This is what I refer to as a "Suitcase" deck. I have a complete one, used it once - did not like the finish cut.

Yup - removable per the manual for thick, wet grass. You were supposed to invert them, bolting them sticking up to act as a guard to keep your tootsies intact.

I got a couple like it but buried under snow now. Getting a heck of a storm.

I have a 36" version of that deck. Love the cut but I like the height adjustment capability of my 32"

The CBR-327 chain drive 32 inch front cutter / sickle bar that was made for the 701 Wheel Horse used the front bar with the three race pulley and grease zert as the front pto for the  cutter bar set up.  So the 60 /61 time period had to be when Wheel Horse came up with that design on the 32/36 mower decks.
