neutral place holder ??

Look at the picture, what's that thing called, and better yet has anybody got a part # ?

 

Every parts manual I've seen don't give any details. I need one for the B100 project.

I would call it a neutral detent. Since it doesn't have a number in the IPL it might not have a part number. 

I'll take a look at carcasses see if I have one.

Seems reasonable.

Meh....

You really don't. 

The detent on my '75 C160 Automatic hasn't been used in years. 

The little metal groove actually has very little to do with the neutral hold. That's built into the shifter.
