ri702bill 11,200 #2 Posted 19 hours ago Not quite. Low Idle should be between 1000 and 1100 RPM to assure good splash oiling. The high RPM limit is 3600, I usually set it to be about 3550 or so. The tuning key is to get good throttle response off idle, then tune the transition to the high circuit to be smooth by adjusting the high mix needle... IF you have an implement like a snowblower that gives the engine a heavy load, be sure your governor is working properly so that RPM increases as the load does... 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

IDK but the mixture can be adjusted before cranking up the low idle stop screw. Maybe too many people were stalling them when trying to take off in 3rd gear high with the engine at idle speed.
