CD Long Jr 185 #1 Posted yesterday at 03:19 PM (edited) Was gonna work on the dozer blade & install the new tire chains + NOS seat bracket but the wind is strong enough to blow me over. 416H is in the driveway. Monday is another day. 312-8 has Armstrong rear tires. Dry rotted some, but I like em. New tubes & 90 degree valve extensions. Went to Harbor Freight for a concrete grinding disc & the tire changer. Saw these black self adhesive step mats. New foot rests for the 416H. Will tarp her & put a 500 watt cage light under the tarp to warm her up. Probably add weather strip adhesive to em. Had to go out and clear the snow that blew into the air intake for the water heater. Noticed rotten egg smell and I tried to blame it on Dog Gas but they both said they are innocent. No coal. Nat. Gas flowing thru the Airtemp 98%er! 2 4

kpinnc 16,977 #8 Posted 19 hours ago Had some big gusts of wind but most of the snow is gone. And there is an unidentified bright yellow orb in the sky that I'm not sure what it's called but I know I've seen it before...

It is true heat with ceiling fans to push down the heat. Sorry to say I have gone propane.
c-series don 11,177 #11 Posted 2 hours ago We love heating with wood, although the last few years I have bought firewood because of my back problems. Sure I could have just bought home heating oil with the money I spent on wood, but there’s nothing like a warm wood stove in the living room. Ours has been going for over a month straight now. It’s a Vermont Castings, the ash pan is removable while the stove is running so it never has to be shut down to clean out. I’m with @Ed Kennell my job today is to keep the stove stoked (currently 7 degrees outside) and make it so warm in my house that when people come to my house to watch the Super Bowl they complain it’s too hot 🤣🤣
Treepep 1,031 #12 Posted 2 hours ago Never lost power. Breaker for the furnace tripped thankfully and didn't burn my house down. Lost it sometime between last Saturday and early Sunday. Finally got all the melted wires fixed. Simmering water and space heaters for a week. Dunno what dip stick home inspectors do. Pretty certain its "der uh stove get warmy' or "water make splashy" He just pointed out superficial nonsense like trim or shudders need paint. Completely missed the homeowner wiring in the crawl space.I do not do tight spaces. Probably could have fixed myself with a buddy to keep me from freaking out. Stay safe and warm out there gents and gals!
