Ed Kennell 44,465 #3 Posted 10 hours ago One of my faves in the '50s. As kids, we spent 90% of our daylight hours outside. Except on Saturday mornings when The Lone Ranger show was close to coming on the TV when we raced home to watch. I still remember my baby sister that was falling behind in the race home yelling "don't turn it on till I get there cause I don't want to miss it". My gang...where's Eddie? 4 3

I'm one of those 'young souls' trapped in an old body. I remember watching the Lone Ranger and Tonto and his horse Silver. Rarely missed an episode. 2

stevasaurus 23,557 #7 Posted 5 hours ago I still live by this..."If it is in black & white, I am watching it." Just watched 4 episodes of Super Man this morning, we have them on Saturday also! "Leave it to Beaver" on all week 7 AM to 8 AM. Perry Mason, Mayberry, Have Gun Will Travel, Gun Smoke...no wonder I don't get anything done. 1 2

Achto 30,699 #10 Posted 5 hours ago (edited) One of my favorite shows when I was a kid. I tried to be extra good one year in hopes to get a Lone Ranger toy. I'm sure that I failed at being good but Santa was still nice enough to leave me something extra special under the tree that year. A Lone ranger & Silver !!! That was not all, you can't have one without the other. Tonto & Scout was included Even a Butch Cavendish and Smoke. Was a great Christmas, must have been better than I thought. Unfortunately I played with those toys a lot and they did not survive my childhood. Edited 5 hours ago by Achto 1 1 1

Have to watch the original German version of Das Boot with the kids though, and no subtitles. Edited 3 hours ago by adsm08
8ntruck 8,549 #13 Posted 3 hours ago My wife and I went to see Das Boot at the theater when it first came out. During a tense depth charging screen, she about jumped out of her seat when the first depth charge went off.
