I know there several of that same pump with different stickers. Maybe upwards of a bunch. I'd definitely prefer USA made but the main thing is that they work. I'm kinda thinking that is they go thumpy, thumpy they should be avoided. If they go whir, whir, it's a decent pump. As far as jinxing you...........let me think about it. All it takes is a single 7/16" wrench for the two mounting bolts, unplug and done. The holes on the two different pumps even line up.
