Detailed electrical schematic for 1972 GT – 14 tractor

Hi, I am looking for a detailed schematic for my 1972 wheel horse GT – 14. All I seem to find are small simplified schematics that only show the ignition switch and the battery and a few other things. I want to see the ignition coil, points, and condenser and ignition stuff.

all of the parts and wires if possible. Thank you very much for any help you can provide!

All of this stuff would be in the Kohler manual.  did not provide manuals for the engines. They relied on the engine manufacturer to provide this info.

If your GT-14 has battery powered ignition with points and a condenser the wiring has been modified which is no problem, many have been rewired.

We would need some information from your present ignition switch unless you plan to replace it. There should be a number on it like 103-990 ore something along those lines. If you can't find a number on it perhaps you could do a drawing of the switch with the letters that are stamped on the tabs the wires are connected to (or on the body next to them). With that information we will be able to present you with a wiring diagram.

Your drawing should look somewhat like the ones below.

If you r GT-14 has a breakerless igniton (look for a triangular shaped coil that feeds the spark plug )  you have to use the magneto wiring above.

The engine would be K321S-60149A

Sorry we do not have an original wiring diagram but other models at the time may be similar.
