Achto 30,997 #151 Posted February 14 Happy Valentine's Day !! Being as such, it seemed like a good day to spray some red paint. The outside temp in the low 50's also made the shop easy to heat. A big THANK YOU to Jim for helping me wet sand this morning. 3

Thank you for the P clamps ... ended all my misery. I got nice ... well decent ... throttle range without having to add that little tab.
Achto 30,997 #153 Posted February 16 Some assembly today. No, not on the tractor. I put together the plow that I painted a few weeks ago. Normally I spread grease on the shiny portions of my plows for storage. This plow I plan to display with the tractor this year so I really don't want do deal with a plow full of grease when I'm handling and transporting it around. So instead of grease I choose to spray the shiny portions with Till-Guard. This paint is designed to protect the polished surface and to scour off when the plow is put back in use. One up front warning - this stuff really thin and runs very easily. Very thin coats or spray like normal paint and wait for your runs to reach the bottom of the share & let them drip off. Question time - Can anyone tell me if this is actually a plow?. Reason that I ask is because in the pictures that I find the plows have a turn buckle to adjust pitch. This one has an L bolt with 2 nuts on the adjuster.
Easton Rich 980 #154 Posted February 16 It doesn't look like it. The board is original, but someone built the frame it looks like. I could be wrong
WHX?? 54,967 #155 Posted February 16 (edited) Nice I guess someone isn't gettin that back. Well serves him right he shoulnd't a left it here. Where is that Brinly stamp? I prolly didn'see it for covered in rust. It was yard art here for a year or three. I think I did use it once and always dug the shape of the share. Thoughts on spray clear on it instead? For that display shine? If you want Dan I can clean the coulter up for your display. I really shouldn't be using this one for yard art it's too cool. Only paint I guess. The one I got from @stevasaurus years ago. Maybe he can shed some light on it. And if it had the decal on it before he restored it. Looks to be the same plow except for the sharp instead of rounded corner on the back of the share. Edited February 16 by WHX??

stevasaurus 23,617 #162 Posted February 16 The plow that Jim got from me did not have any stickers on it. This is before I cleaned it up, I think it is a Wheel Horse plow because it looks like one. I put the stickers on it, because they fit and I had them from Terry. 1

I do see a few differences from Jim's plow to mine. Jim's mold board is bolted to the frog, my mold board is welded to the frog. Jim's land slide is held on with square head plow bolts, mine uses round head plow bolts. 2
Achto 30,997 #164 Posted Thursday at 11:39 PM So I seem to have left y'all hangin' here. I found some time tonight to letter the hood & engine fan shroud. I wish that I had more to show but I've been dealing with O.P.S ( Other People's Sh..tuff). Got a Scrub Cadet that I'm painting this weekend and I also have a Simple-city paint job to get off my plate before I will get back to my own project. There was a car dealer near us who sold Rolls-Royce and was one of the biggest Corvette dealers in the country at that time. Palmyra Motors. Sold cars at $49 over invoice I worked with a couple of his former employees and they would tell this story of a guy who the owner brought in to pinstripe the cars. Guy was boozed up to the brim and they would send a plane to NYC to pick him up. They would have to carry him to the roller stool. When he was done, carry him back to the car to get him back to the airport. They called him " Shady Deal " because he started up his business selling cars at his house under a tree. Late in life I would see him riding around Newark NY in his Rolls. Had long hair a funky hat and a fur coat! Edited 2 hours ago by squonk 1
