I was in the Coast Guard for four years and never had bad weather or anything else that was preceded by a Red Sky In Morning. Maybe it was only those wimpy Navy Sailers who had problems.

This morning a  balmy 8 degrees predict 7 inches of snow starting after lunch

No sunrise shot - 1/2" of ice here this morning and raining hard now... :(

We've had mid 70's in southwest Missouri the past three days and one more tomorrow before cooling off to 30 degrees for a high Monday.  Local newscast reported only 12 white Christmas' in Springfield, MO since the 1940's.   I'm waiting for some snow to fall in north Missouri so I can get a few more brush piles burned.

Jesus was recorded as saying in Matthew 16: 2b~3:    He answered and said to them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.   3And in the morning, It will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and lowring.

I am a believer..

About 7 hours after the picture it started snowing and continued as a mix of snow, ice pellets, freezing rain and sleet until 10pm.  Temperature never got above 22
