C175 kt17 series 1 worn connecting rod

Recommended Posts

I split the case on my c175 because it started knocking and when I took the crank shaft out I noticed that the bolts holding the connecting rod onto the crank shaft were both lose. Ive been looking to buy a new piston rod and rod cap but cant seem to find one anywhere. If anyone knows where I can get one please let me know.

Parts are getting hard to find for KTs.  Especially over/under.

Pats small engine seem to have rods

You should have the cylinder jugs and crank measured at a machine shop to see what needs to be done before buying any parts. No need to spend a lot of money on rods, rings and gaskets only to find out that the engine has other problems.         :twocents-02cents:

Blasterdad,

I know you are couple of ours away, but it is a heck of a deal for (4) KT17's, the one long block has extremely low hours on it, I actually drove to New York years ago to pick that one up.

I am a little negotiable, just cleaning out my garage.

Fell fre to call me anytime @ 1-313-460-8858, Tim

@Tim's Toy Tractor I reposted your classified for @Domenic who's looking for parts for his KT17. He's in Connecticut...:handgestures-thumbupright:
