Help! My tractor won’t start!

I have a 73 no name with a 12hp k301. I use it to plow snow and then she sits in my garage. Wonderful machine that has been kept nice. I have been having trouble getting it going a it has sat since last winter. I just replaced the ignition coil, condenser, new points set to 20 thousands, cleaned the carb, new fuel lines, new fuel filter, new battery, new battery cables. I have spark, I have fuel going all the way to the carb bowl. The fuel pump seems to work. It only fires briefly on ether. I’m not sure what else I can do other than try cleaning the carb again. The float and needle aren’t stuck but it looks pretty old. If anyone can help out with suggestions that would be much appreciated.

Please don't use ether.     Use regular gasoline to spray into the carb.

If it runs OK by hand feeding fuel into the intake, and the fuel pump spurts a good supply of fuel to the carb., there is a problem in the carb. Clean the carb again paying attention to the shut off needle in the bowl.

Proper cleaning should include an overnight emersion in a can of carburetor cleaner. There are lots of small passages that can become plugged up including the main needle valve,

If you hold your palm over the air inlet and crank it over, does your palm get wet?

Hair dye bottles work well for this.
