Tires How Big

Recommended Posts

sqrlgtr

Trading into some rear wide rims 9.5". They have 24-12's mounted but havent got a chance to try them on any tractors yet and was wondering if the 24's on a 9.5" rim fit under the fenders of a C series or a 60's short/long frame? I went back through the wide tire Wednesday and let's talk tires threads but really didn't find answer to my question :eusa-think:. Hoping some of yo'uns might have some experiance on this subject. Pictures are welcomed also.:D

@ebinmaine those tires are one set that I thought about getting. Did you have to use wheel spacers, and did you have to do anything to the fenders? The tires that are on the rims right now are some kind of turf tires but they look big but I've never had any 24-12"s before :D. They seem to hold air and I will probably try to run them for a while at least until Santa Clause gets paid... BTW yours look great and a C-160 is a tractor that I really wanted to put them on. I have a 1257 that came from @WHX?? that has a set like you have pictured but maybe a different name on side and they are 23-850"s but are a big 8.50... If I missed info in thread blame Andy Griffith he's on tv at moment.:happy-jumpyellow:

I got these because they're a good full measurement of the advertised/marked tire size.

Definitely nothing to the fender.

I believe there are spacers in there but I don't recall thickness.

I prefer the extra width for the extra stability.

Do you NEED spacers?

Maybe not considering the backspacing is good.

I got some spacers and was just wondering. Really like the look and would welcome the extra stability for these hills around here... glad to hear about nothing done to fender...

I have two more sets of these wide 520H wheels.

Likely I'll duplicate the exact setup on other tractors.
