SylvanLakeWH 29,296 #1 Posted 18 hours ago Today is Election Day. Please vote. Regardless of your political beliefs. Billions of people around the world do not have a say in how they are governed. We do. Millions of Americans have lost their lives defending our right to vote. Honor that. A Republic, if we can keep it. Ben Franklin 7
c-series don 10,542 #2 Posted 17 hours ago I’m going to vote on my way to work. Voting is something that my father instilled in me since I was 18. I don’t think I’ve ever not voted in an election. 4 1 1

I was just jabbing Don on having to go to work. I did pass the post office on my way to vote.
Mickwhitt 5,190 #7 Posted 12 hours ago We have a problem with people not bothering to vote over here. They have tried postal votes to make things easier than having to attend in person. But it's nothing to do with convenience, it's to do with ordinary people being sick of our two party choice. Labour promised to look after working people. No tax rises were key to their manifesto and getting elected. Within a year they put up taxes and a few months later we are facing another huge increase in purchase tax, income tax or national insurance. And we still have another three years to go before we can flip flop back to conservative rule. I agree voting is a privilege nanypeople do not enjoy. But voting for liars and thieves is a pretty difficult thing to do.

Treepep 830 #9 Posted 11 hours ago I vote when I can like the last Big one. Otherwise I am largely unqualified. I don't watch television and I know nothing about who is running for what Could be a fun choose your own adventure maybe but that seems irresponsible in my humble opinion 1
Treepep 830 #10 Posted 8 hours ago What I mean is I usually vote local. And the big ones. 16 to 18 hour days and no local knowledge and no time. Uninformed is not good! Period. I do not have a remedy for that at this time. The remaining hours I need to scramble to handle all of the other life things. IF there were any good, reliable, or trainable humans I could be on the up and up on that political business. I am able to fool around on this wonderful place here and there whilst waiting for the food to get hot.
Pullstart 68,131 #11 Posted 5 hours ago Mrs. p and I voted just before lunch today. We were numbers 46 and 47 in the till. There was one proposal on the ballot, the smallest government led vote we’ve ever been a part of! 1
SylvanLakeWH 29,296 #12 Posted 5 hours ago Mrs Sylvan and I were 186 and 187... our daughter voted later. Pathetic turnout but same issue as you - Single school millage proposal.
Beap52 1,622 #13 Posted 5 hours ago Nothing to vote on in our county this time. Otherwise I'd be there.
adsm08 3,587 #14 Posted 4 hours ago I made it to the poll tonight. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that this one snuck up on me and I was still doing some of my research while filling out my ballot, and ultimately left two races blank because I could not find the information I wanted. I did go in knowing all I needed about the PA Supreme Court retention vote, which was the one I was really worried about. Most of my local "races" were 20+ year incumbents running unopposed for jobs like dog-catcher.
Handy Don 14,613 #15 Posted 3 hours ago I early voted 8 days ago. Mrs. Handy voted today. Busy ballot with one state-wide referendum.
