pfrederi 18,958 #1 Posted Monday at 10:18 PM Haven't used my short chute blower in 3 years now...maybe more. couldn't turn down this one for $50. Looking forward to the direction control... the short chute wants to turn it self and the cable is PIA Need to flip the wear edge. 2

AHS 1,559 #3 Posted Monday at 11:08 PM You’re gonna love the tall shute! It night and day over the short shute. Don’t get me wrong the short shutes are good and rugged… but the snow throwing distance from the tall Shute is awesome!!
WHX?? 52,890 #4 Posted Monday at 11:31 PM I liked the shorts for small amounts of powder and they seldom clogged in wet stuff but yes a the cable is a PIA. 22 minutes ago, AHS said: but the snow throwing distance from the tall Shute is awesome!!

Bar Nuthin 1,471 #8 Posted yesterday at 12:18 AM I've got an offer to buy a really nice one for $250 - but I just can't justify it with my limited need for one.
peter lena 9,447 #9 Posted 20 hours ago @pfrederi were you wearing a mask when you got that for $ 50 ? couple of suggestions get a threading DIE NUT for the end of the chute rod ? match up a screw on round knob , much better with mittens / gloves . also like a thin snow slider , plastic / vinyl chute base gasket , PAM cooking spray for lube . would get after , every related lubrication point , like chain / gear spray on the auger drive . those belt idlers , verify they are smooth , easy , quiet , look good , but tiny bearings / lube ? would love to over that thing , lucky you . pete
