Wheelhorse#1 1,898 #452 Posted February 3 The ole 1973 12 auto did great.Need chains though as I couldn't do much with 1”1/2 of ice with 7” of snow. Once the sun worked it’s magic I was able to get down to pavement and then there was no issues moving big chunks of snow and ice . wish I took a before and after pic. The county should put me on payroll. 2

c-series don 11,306 #454 Posted February 4 @Ed Kennell I didn’t need one when I was young either! Winter of 1984-85 when I was 14 with my Work Horse. My parents got me the plow for Christmas that year. Note the red hat, it’s an insulated winter genuine Wheel Horse hat! I wish I still had it. 5 7

Will have to use the blower but wind continues tomorrow so may wait until Monday. It is 15 degrees in the shop where she is parked.... 3 2
nylyon-(Admin) 8,754 #456 Posted 4 hours ago Ugh, here we go again, so glad I hooked up the blower this year. I’m in the 12+ this round, and we still have a foot on the ground.
c-series don 11,306 #457 Posted 4 hours ago Blizzard warning and possibly up to 20” of snow forecasted for the east end of Long Island! Most are saying 10”-16” Yesterday at this time they were saying 1”-3” maybe 2”-4”, that changed right after lunchtime. Definitely going to be time for the two stage blower. Today is prep day for everything around the house and making sure we are ready.

peter lena 9,748 #462 Posted 1 hour ago @Keith Cochrane nice looking unit there , notice the handle end of your auger movement ? years back , took a threaded DIE NUT and added threading for a smooth screw on knob ? local h/w store makes the handling easier with mittens / gloves . also added a SNOW SLIDER , VINYL gasket , with PAM food spray , for very slick easy movement , just measured base area fit , and cut to match , just a suggestion , always snooping around to improve something , happy snow blowing . pete
My_horse 84 #464 Posted 19 minutes ago Picked up some shear bolts for the impeller fan on my Massey Ferguson blower. $5 something a piece from the Kubota dealer vs $9 something each from AGCO. Same blower. The 314-8 is ready for cleanup duty. Have to get the blower ready tomorrow and change out that shear bolt. Then check all the houses I watch. Then I gotta burn the cardboard up before the storm. Tomorrow is going to be busy.
