Should be a fluffy/light 12-20” snowfall here in Central Connecticut (that’s what we’ve been told) so clearing it will be easy enough.
No rush to clear it, do some on Sunday and again on Monday. Company already said we could work from home so I won’t have to venture out in it.
Might even be fun dealing with it :eusa-think:

So that's what you look like...

Well  ready as I can be...  That time of year in this soft state.  Grab a few buds, some suds, and a sharpened stick and you could overturn this entire state.

  half inch of ice so far here.

+9F with a stiff 15MPH East wind that is drifting the fine snow.  Just on the leading edge of the storm now.  As it moves Northeast the wind will shift from the North and pile up some snow.

About 3"s down now.

My boss said I'm not allowed to go out till it's over.    Time to fry up some deer scrapple then watch some football.

I have surgery scheduled for Monday noon so somehow I will need to clean up this mess starting in the wee hours of the morning.  I don’t want to bring out the Kubota with a snow plow because I have no clue what the skids might do to the driveway, so I’ll start with the 520H with cab and 2 stage and see if it can digest the snow in time.  I have a rubber scraper for the Kubota plow so I better install that now.
No, they won’t reschedule saying they are always open, it took months to get this appointment and I would fall to the bottom of the list.

'Tis the calm before the storm here this fine morning.

- 14⁰ F

Expect we'll see the white stuff around 1 to 2 pm.

We're forecast for approximately 16".

We're about where the "T" is in Manchester. Got the 520H with the 2 stage all fueled up and backed in. Genny fueled up and ready if needed. Plenty of food etc.

Predicting 18"-21" today and another 5"-6" tomorrow. Bring it on.

I got the 417-A with two stage blower out for the first time this year. Last year I serviced it and never used it, but it looks like tomorrow it will be put to work. The C-175 was blocking the 417 in and when I moved it I noticed it wasn’t charging so I brought it in the shop to have a look. The 418-C is ready to go, I’ll probably use that first until it gets deep and then use the blower. Not pictured is the C-160 automatic with 56” plow as a back up, the C-141 8-Speed with loader to pile snow. C-141 8-Speed with C48 Sweepster rotary broom for clean up and the GT-1848 with 50” grader blade in case I need to scrape some ice. So I think I have this snow removal thing covered! Now if I could just have an attachment that does the front steps instead of me shoveling!! Be safe out there everyone 👍🏻

You know the more I look at this picture the more it reminds me of the Route 66 restaurant in Bar Harbor, ME. If you know, you know. @c-series don you need to frame this picture and find a place for it in there!image.png.70a668e13f4beb1daf8fd77f38745145.png Nice Jeep art work!

Over night we got about 1” a mix of very fine icy sleet and snow. +17 and windy here this morning in the Texas Hill Country. Too cold for this Texas guy!

We’ve had at least a mild snow or ice the last 4 out of 5 years.

Last night my daughter in law originally from New Jersey finally owned up to bringing this stuff with her when they moved here 5 years ago

Currently significant statewide problems with the electric system. Far NE Texas in the piney woods (Oklahoma Arkansas Lousiana corner) got a lot more ice early last night and had areas of larger outage's Lots of small localized outages across the states probably due ice/tree limbs. The utilities have done a huge amount of neighborhood tree trimming since the last freezemageton.

This is more of a mess than I anticipated.

Blower is not working. Any time it gets into anything the auger locks up, new belt is already smoke.

The snow is almost too light for the plow. It's moving it, but it's leaving a lot behind, so we moved a lot by hand. I'm going to warm up and go make some adjustments to the plow and try again.
