I inherited that tool and still have it. Decorative wall hanging at this point but it'll likely never go anywhere else.... Got one myself, out in the shed. One day I will sharpen it and try it out.
adsm08 3,886 #177 Posted December 16 Snowed again today, another light one that was easier to just shovel.
Blasterdad 3,108 #178 Posted December 18 I was hoping I didn't have to put a plow on one of the 's this winter but no such luck. It's started to warm up on & off around here enough to turn the nice base I had built up with the snowblower into slop & the snow on the garage roof to start sliding off. It's supposed to be even warmer tomorrow & rain all day so I spent yesterday switching the ag tires out for a set of 9.5" turfs with chains on one of the C-81's. Dug out the brand new 48" plow I bought from a guy about five years ago, it came with his when he bought it from the dealer & never put it on. So today after work I got her out to see how she liked moving slop without wheel weights... She didn't, after two stabs at the roof pile she was back in the shop getting the the weights put on. (in my mind this was an experiment, not laziness). Round Two... Success! It's amazing what 8 hp, gears & traction will do... 5
Handy Don 15,295 #180 Posted 16 hours ago (edited) We had another forecast miss today. “An inch...maybe 2 in a few spots...then rain”. Three to four of “packing snow” on my driveway and it never turned to rain. Made some neighbors happy by doing some of their clearing. Village ordinance requires cleared sidewalks by 12 hours after snow ends. Not clear? They have contractors clear ‘em and bill you. Since I’m pretty sure my next door neighbor and his family are away for the holiday, I put on my “Santa” hat and plowed his 250' walk. rjg854 12,650 #188 Posted 3 hours ago All our snow is gone; all that's left is what hasn't melted of the plowed up snow, which isn't much at all.
