It is used for planting grass seed. The bar in the front levels the ground, the drum loosens the soil as the drop seeder deposits seeds.

True but what does NOS really translate to? Put it on a shelf in the man cave and look at it or stick it in the dirt as intended? No way could I not stick a mid mount blade in the dirt NOS factory fresh or not. Even if I had two ... one to use and one to look at. Just too handy of an attachment not to. 

To me being  NOS means just being able to use it without having to wrench on it first. Reliable and ready to go. 

Not that I don believe in trailer queens but right after Dan and I put the flame together I was busted using it for tub duty. A tub needed to move from point A to B and it was just sitting there and yes I did scratch the draw bar abit... 

A few of my restos I swore I was not gonna work it but then I always did. 

 

Thank you Richard I see now... ya know I could have used that to rework and re-seed the lawn after being wrecked by the well drillers. NOS, restoed or not!

A real handy tool for a landscaper. 

Yes I know I could have  it's purpose but much more enjoyable learning here.
