953 nut 61,527 #1 Posted Thursday at 11:03 AM World Post Day is October 9 and we’re pumped for a throw back to communication methods of the past with some good old-fashioned letters. Mail carrier services have been in existence since ancient times, and even though we can communicate almost anything (literally) at the touch of a button, there’s no denying the importance of our local postal services…or the excitement of receiving a package in the mail! World Post Day marks the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union, and it’s from this humble wellspring that the global communications revolution started and continues to this day. 6 1

Beap52 1,569 #3 Posted Thursday at 11:27 PM I'm inclined to think my wife looks forward to seeing the mail man more than she does me. The minute he opens the door on the little white box in front of our house she shoots out the door of our house. The sad thing is that about all we get is junk mail--good grief! Now I'm going to be depressed all evening. You know what? I may have to send her a post card some time. That ought to elevate my status! 1
