A couple of things that irk me.....

I did not want to hijack @ohiofarmer's post, so I will start my own.....

 

First - The oh-so entitled & ignorant folks who park at the Market in the handicapped area legitimately, but leave their carriage (buggy) in the ajacent empty parking spot upon leaving. My local market went out of their way to have a corral for the carts a few feet away....

 

Second - the folks who attach yard sale posters on telephone poles all over town - the event is long over yet the posters remain...... I hope it rained that day!!

The people... not a very lively bunch  We hafta look for the good.  Too much of the other.  Continue to be kind.  Respect, and try to do good things every day.  

 

That said. I love you guys and gals!  Continue to be the loving, helping community that we are.  I am not much help here.  I have gotten a lot of help here.

We have a guy at work, who of course is friends with the owner, who acts super entitled, and has this seeming psychotic compulsion to do everything the opposite of everyone else. He really irks me.

 

He is also very rude.

Personally, I appreciate a$$hats at work. They make me feel better about myself... 

 

Of course I'm joking. I do have a rule about such people though: I always try to be kind and considerate, but there are always people who dislike you for no apparent reason. Unless I have to shove them over to get into bed at night, they can dislike me all they want. I do the best I can by everyone I encounter. If they still hate me, that's on them. 

 

And if the person who is mad does sleep in my bed, I sneak my pillow to the couch!  She of course, gets extra effort if I make her mad!

First gas pumps, now this.  I can see this spiraling completely out of control given the unlimited amounts of bad behavior out there.  I would start a topic about courteous things I saw people do today, but I’ve got nothing.

Yeah ...like all those diggers hot line flags in my yard. They mark the lines out orange & red & white paint all over. They never do any work but weeks later the flags are still there and I gotta mow. Then if or when they do work they cut my phone line . It gets fixed after weeks and alot of  but I still gotta pay the land line bill.

I go through a one-lane underpass on my way home from work. Today I stopped and let two other people go first.

I work at a group commissary.  Owner of the building is a tyrant to EVERY human.  Except the two friends that work there that supply his powder and herbs.  They can do anything.  I could elaborate.  Not P.G.  My goal is to get my head chef through his hip surgery and find something more positive.  What that is IDK.  Friggin chin up and do your best you!

The royal WE are the courteous ones!  I pick up trash in the parking lots.  Open doors, complement strangers. WE do good things every day! 

 

Not bragging... do your best you every day and be super patient with the zombies

 

YOU have helped that person at the store or stopped to help a human that has car trouble. YOU collectively have helped me and thousands of members to be successful.   Many thanks.

I live on a narrow street. A company was doing tree work up the street the other day and had half the street blocked with the truck.

As I was driving by, a woman came the other way. Instead of waiting for me to pass, she drove through the front yard across the street to get by!!

That and the pizza box on the ground BESIDE an empty trash can at a local park.

It's this thing Tree ya gotta have when yer cell phone cloths line does not have panties on it because of metal roofs or siding or the cell companies are boning you. So now my lawn is painted up like a football field because of this newfangled contraption called fiber optics and the gov'ment is paying to have it run down a dead end road with no houses on it. To top it off no less than four outfits are jumping on the band wagon to get Uncle Sam's nickel and waving a porterhouse in front of me to give them my money so I can supposedly Red Square & get my transmission seals faster.  

 

And yes those little wire flags do get wrapped around deck spindles. 

 

They tell me I need this lawn art worse than tractor yard art ...

The morning the moving van arrived and started to unload for one of our moves, there was a woman who could not drive between the moving van and a car parked across the street.  She called the police.

 

The officer who responded to the call, welcomed us to town and apologized, explaining that he was just doing his job responding to a call. We spent a couple minutes wondering what had that woman upset that morning.

 

Turns out that this officer was a community liaison officer for department and community events.  My wife and I were involved with youth programs over the years and worked with this officer many times.

@adsm08  did my 30 years at pfizer , loaded with those types , like they had an  aura , around them , always around management , ABSOUTLY  NEVER TRUST THEM , AVOID  THEM , love to be at a  morning meeting  ,and have it go to total silence , when one walked in , the irony  of that is learning  how to  deal with them . on the other hand , also  met  a handful of very solid   people , they were instantly on the same page .just one, was especially  good , traveled with him , fly-fishing , pontoon boat fly fishing , laughing at each other  , swapping flies , terrific times , montana , pete

But people continue to buy them   I'm quite satisfied with my Google phone, does everything I need it to do and costs about a 3rd of an iPhone. I suppose if you have the cash maybe it's worth it to you. A few of the guys I used to work with always complained about theirs, that's I needed to know to steer clear of them.
