Nah.  A 20 pound propane bottle is steel.  A mower can't possibly hurt it...

Several folks named Kevin here... :lol:

 

And I just had a thread trimming a deck back to 1/2 past the blade tips... :hide:  BUT it's still covered and can't touch exterior obstacles. 

 

And in general I don't trim the skirt on my propane tank. :thumbs:
