Cut open the end of a mower deck so you can have a bigger blade....then run into a propane tank

Nah.  A 20 pound propane bottle is steel.  A mower can't possibly hurt it...

And I just had a thread trimming a deck back to 1/2 past the blade tips...   BUT it's still covered and can't touch exterior obstacles. 

 

And in general I don't trim the skirt on my propane tank.
