Ed Kennell 42,440 #3 Posted Tuesday at 06:48 PM Lucky guy. If he hadn't hit the tank, just a matter of time till he amputated some body parts. 6

8ntruck 7,980 #7 Posted Tuesday at 11:36 PM Aren't you supposed to remove all potentially dangerous objects from the area to be mowed before starting? Nah. A 20 pound propane bottle is steel. A mower can't possibly hurt it... 4

And I just had a thread trimming a deck back to 1/2 past the blade tips... BUT it's still covered and can't touch exterior obstacles. And in general I don't trim the skirt on my propane tank. Sparky-(Admin) 23,460 #12 Posted Wednesday at 03:35 PM Some lawyer will get those guys a nice settlement. And new mowers will have to have some notes in the manuals from here on out about not modifying the deck for larger blades . It’ll be in the paragraph right under the “Don’t drink the battery acid” warning!

Maybe they need to require 40 pounds of steel to make a 20 pound propane bottle.
