And I just had a thread trimming a deck back to 1/2 past the blade tips... BUT it's still covered and can't touch exterior obstacles. And in general I don't trim the skirt on my propane tank. And new mowers will have to have some notes in the manuals from here on out about not modifying the deck for larger blades .
