I”ll add that the contents of the hoses and cylinder is more than you might expect so be ready for that. 😁 Tipping up the hose ends should keep the residual fluid from dripping. cleat 7,508 #27 Posted August 27 Just don't shove the cylinder rod in or out after the cylinder is removed without draining it out well first. I have had more than one oil shower that way.

Krice58 57 #29 Posted August 27 Any specific procedure after reinstalling? Just run and top off fluid? I would imagine there’s enough remaining fluid in the system to not have to worry about air in the system. Or is there a bleeding procedure like with hydraulic brakes? Handy Don 14,306 #30 Posted August 27 (edited) The system vents through the hollow handle of the standard transaxle dipstick. No particular sequence for clearing air. Just install, run engine, cycle the lift several times, and cycle forward and backward motion several times, Lastly, check and top up the oil in the transaxle/reservoir to the full level.
