953 nut 60,348 #1 Posted 7 hours ago It’s National Bacon Lovers Day on August 20. Arguably our favorite in-office holiday, no smell on Earth is as attractive as the thin-sliced bacon sizzling in a pan and served with anything at hand. Bacon is the hero of every meal it’s incorporated into. No wonder it’s been such a massive part of western cuisine since 1500 B.C. This means, for thousands of years, we have relished the sweet-savory smell of bacon frying, and the chewy taste too. One could argue that it’s now coded into our D.N.A., a historic love for bacon. 4
Mickwhitt 5,137 #2 Posted 7 hours ago A bacon sarnie is a staple in our English diet. Bacon is a prt of a full English breakfast. And gammon is a traditional meat for a slap up dinner. I've heard vegetarians say they won't touch meat, but cannot resist a bacon buttie. Life wouldn't be worth living without the sizzle of a couple of rashers in the morning. Ed Kennell 42,150 #3 Posted 7 hours ago Bacon is #5 on my breakfast meat list. Following sausage, scrapple puddin, and ham. I do love my BLTs and grind a pound of bacon in every 5 pound of deer burger.
