Middleville , Michigan to NY / CT / NJ area

I bought that NOS 36” deck shell and parts from @Pullstart and he has agreed to bring it to the show next year.  It would be better if someone was taking a road trip to Middleville, MI and could bring the deck back to the NY / CT / NJ area for me.

Did you get a quote from Fastenall? They are very reasonable or at least they used to be. As long as you are not in a hurry, as they may take a week or two. And obviously if there’s a Fastenall near Kevin and you.

Not the worst idea.

I got one once and it was like 125 and price hinged on the weight and size of the pallet. Not so much the destination. That was five or six years ago already and things might have changed.

It was a easy online thing to get a quote.

There’s one in Stamford, CT not terribly far.  Do they strap to a pallet, or are they expecting it to be strapped and wrapped?

You basically have to bring it ready to ship I believe.

Yes it has to be ready to ship. not all stores are the same. My local Fastenal is a disaster. Used to be a great store for someone in the industrial maintenance business. Now you can't even walk in. Can't even call them. Got to e mail a part description then they give you a time to get it. I wouldn't let them ship a broken pencil.

Years ago I shipped a Tiller attachment to somewhere west of Buffalo. I took an early lunch and showed up with it all strapped down. Turned out the forklift guy wasn't in until noon and they wouldn't move it by hand. They said I could run the fork lift if I wanted. NOPE! Forklift had seen better days!

Had to go back after work.
