Ive never messed with a vacuum fuel pump which I assume I have.  This tubing pulled right out of nuts. That isnt normal right?  Also the rubber inside those nuts looks pretty bad. What do I replace it with if anything. Thanks

Correct. They're a little O ring that has a different shape.

I have a bag around here. With the workshop and apartment move some things are yet to be organized. If I can find them I could send you a few.

These compression fittings are readily available. I picked up a small tubing bender to make the fuel line.:)

Rocker box oil line seals for a Panhead or Shovelhead. If you go to a dealership or a bike shop do not buy the orange colored ones, they will fall apart. These are the ones that I use.

@Racinbob,  you can't do that  !  just  teasing you ,  regularly  revert  to  something  to eliminate the issue . if you are a purest , it can't be done . frequently  refer to  , the functional re make   on a problem  spot . more often than not  its been  trouble free and  easily worth the change . REPEDITIVE  FAILURES , are your  que , love those , take the time to  really  study what's going on , make the change , pete

I'll second the HD seals but to be fair to Lowell he also sells them.

https://wheelhorsepartsandmore.com/product/brass-fuel-fittings-qty-2/

He will sell just the rubbers.

Before I knew this I got a dozen of them off Flea Bay for dirt  cheap.

Note in Bob's pic one end is slightly longer but I forget which end goes where.

Actually he is correct Bob. Code states no compression fittings used as fuel lines. Now I gotta turn you in to the code police ... :ychain:

Me thinks Kohler used them long before codes tho but yes nice work for us purists!  :thumbs2:

Two barb 90s and a short piece of fuel line work too. I have to pull the motor on the flame for repaint so this will get changed.

Edit:

BTW a drop of oil on any compression fitting goes along way to help with sealing.

Another option is your local Case New Holland Dealership, that's where I get them from part #222-101

I think the long end goes to the fuel pump. I just matched what was original on an 854.

Code?? Isn't that just for smart people who do things right? Don't pertain to me. :eusa-whistle:
