wallfish 18,668 #31 Posted September 19 You can change those bushings out and use wheel bearings instead. Bushings wear the spindles down so you might want to check those too. Probably not the most important thing on such a time crunch job 2

Chrishar 819 #38 Posted September 23 Hood on and gas tank is ready to be put on that's tomorrow nights deal does anybody have a picture of how they ran the fuel line and the throttle and choke cables to the motor
wallfish 18,668 #39 Posted September 23 Fuel line, sediment bowl outlet directly to the carb. That line is short and just suspends. Not a bad idea to put a fuel filter in there too The choke is just a direct link wire from the lever to the carb. no conduit Throttle cable loops from the lever towards the hood stand and goes to the carb from the bottom
Chrishar 819 #40 Posted September 23 Do you have picture of the choke wire that would help me out

wallfish 18,668 #42 Posted September 23 Z bend on the bottom of the wire to fit the carb and a throttle cable swivel fitting on the lever so it can be slid into place then locked down once it's all adjusted correctly
Chrishar 819 #43 Posted September 24 (edited) Gas tank and on/off ignition switch are installed should have the fittings so I can put the fuel line on tomorrow night and maybe the throttle and choke lever assembly on too thanks for the pictures it helps me out a lot Edited September 24 by Chrishar 3

Here's the manual below. I don't have one around any more to measure it for you but shouldn't be to difficult to figure out when it's mounted to the tractor. Do you have the pedal? goes on the right side foot peg. That's used to release the index pin and yes, a rope connected to the top corners of the blade and draped over the hood was used to swivel it back and forth Blade Dozer 42in 1961 BD-4261 Formerly HD-42 #A-7138.pdf Edited September 26 by wallfish

wallfish 18,668 #49 Posted September 27 (edited) Clean the groove on that engine pulley. I can see all the rust in the pic. It must be clean and smooth, no paint either Some of those can be a PITA and the belt guard can be tweaked around a little by loosening the bolts, adjust tighten Edited September 27 by wallfish

Then to the lift handle. The bend in the lift bar link is to avoid hitting the hood. Pretty sure it's this hole but it's been 20 years since I sold all of the attachments. Or hook it up to hole on the plow frame and see where it lines up on the lift handle Edited September 27 by wallfish
