Pullstart 67,042 #1 Posted August 1 It’s not a @wallfish Wheel Horse Motorcycle, but it’ll do alright by me! I was invited to a lake day last Sunday with some friends. Someone offered me a mini bike trade for the Moto Mower I had for sale, and this was at my buddy’s house. I simply asked “how does that go?”, looking for real owner’s feedback. His response was, “You want it?” What? He said that I do enough for him and his wife in auto repairs, that he’d be glad to give it to me. And here we are, and I was able to just sell the tractor outright. This thing once I thoroughly cleaned the jet and emulsion tube, goes nearly 30 on the road! 5 3 1

Pullstart 67,042 #3 Posted August 1 This thing is a riot, and maybe too fast for recording with one hand and riding with the other! I may have had a close call already in the field. I was going 8-10 mph and the front tire caught a rut. The bike kind of went down, I went over the handlebars, and somehow stuck the landing! I rotated enough to pull the bike back under me, hopped on and kept cruising.
ri702bill 9,533 #5 Posted August 1 (edited) And you just know that some guy named Kevin is going to fiddle with the sprocket sizes to speed up the "I hurt myself" process...... Edited August 1 by ri702bill 1

Geeze, you sound like my boss. He also doesn't see the wisdom in the saying "It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Then it's a party". 1
rjg854 12,249 #7 Posted August 1 I know of 2 young men over the summer that have had their lives drastically altered because of motorcycle type accidents. Neither will walk again and one is a paralyzed from the neck down.
Beap52 1,480 #8 Posted August 1 Haven't been on a mini bike in 60 years. I'm surprised to see that after all this time, the centrifugal clutch is still out in the open and not protected by a shield of some kind ready to chew up the closest ankle.

wallfish 18,242 #10 Posted August 2 Looks like it would fit 8 hp Kohler in there. Dream up a fuel tank for it. And you can protect yourself from the chain by adding a torque converter with a cover. ( Plus triple the speed and go white knuckles riding to the mailbox! ) https://www.amazon.com/Torque-Converter-Clutch-Chain-Replace/dp/B091D3RDCB/ref=asc_df_B091D3RDCB?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80333198738286&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=51385&hvtargid=pla-4583932717966948&psc=1 1
Pullstart 67,042 #11 Posted August 2 Come to think of it @wallfish, did @SylvanLakeWH send me home with a centrifugal clutch just like that a few years back? Hmmm…. 10 hours ago, ri702bill said: And you just know that some guy named Kevin is going to fiddle with the sprocket sizes to speed up the "I hurt myself" process...... Honesty, I’d take quick acceleration over top speed any day!

But with the variable pulleys the idea is to get both!
ML3 1,727 #13 Posted August 2 (edited) Coleman 100 w/212 Predator. I added a stage 2 performance kit so its probably closer to 14-15hp. Need to make a wheelie bar. Its scary considering that it originally was only 3hp. Guy I purchased it from bought minibike new & immediately installed Predator. He rode it 1x & was terrified of it. I wanted to get an ORV sticker for it & the Ohio DMV said I have to register it as a moped! 🤣 So a moped it is! Need to install a brake light & horn to make it "legal" Edited August 2 by ML3 4

Why yes I did!!!! Basically everything @wallfish shows above. Part of my son's hi speed winch wakeboard project that didn't materialize... I made one of the train cars out of the winch frame.
