ri702bill 9,533 #8 Posted July 11 Welcome! WH made a change to the shift fork shafts to help with the cold weather problem of being stuck in two gears at once dur to "sticktion" of the gear oil in the shaft bores. They added a flat along its length to allow air & oil to escape ( and used the shorter pin as Garry mentioned). If it is still apart, consider it......
Yoube2 3 #9 Posted July 12 When I opened up the trans casing and took out all the gears there was no spring ball bearings or pin and this caused a lot of free play in the shift lever . My next question is where does the pin fit in? I have located the spring and balbearings .I will make a pin as you guys mentioned. I would like to know how to install the pin .
