These are from a 3 speed transmission.

The 2 shifter bearings are 1/4". Mine measure 0.247

The bearing usually can be hound at you hardware store (ace, etc) in all the those grey or brown drawers.

The spring diameter is 0.245, length is 1.142, Spring wire dia. 0.040. The spring has 15 coils.

I do not know the length of the pin but this was previously posted

It has be reported that the

up to 1965 original stop pin part # 3573 is .695" long (11/16" = .6875")

1965-on revised stop pin # 5614 is .740" long (47/64" = .7344")

.740" - .695" = .045" or approximately 3/64" longer

I believe these have been properly referred to as

"Hoobie-Doobie" balls in the past.

Also works as an accelerator pump weight on a Chrysler Slant 6 1 barrel carb! :banana-wrench:

Welcome!

WH made a change to the shift fork shafts to help with the cold weather problem of being stuck in two gears at once dur to "sticktion" of the gear oil in the shaft bores.

They added a flat along its length to allow air & oil to escape ( and used the shorter pin as Garry mentioned).

If it is still apart, consider it......

When I opened up the trans casing and took out all the gears there  was no spring ball bearings or pin  and  this caused a lot of free play in the shift lever . My next question is where does the pin fit in? I have located the spring and balbearings .I will make a pin as you  guys mentioned. I would like to know how to  install the pin .
