Recommended Posts

I have a 2005 315-8 tractor with the key switch under the seat that unlocks or allows you to mow in reverse gear...Its acting a bit flakey and id like to by-pass it....Has anyone done this or can explain an easy way to do this?   Thanks,  Jim.

:WRS:

We discourage the elimination of any safety devices or safety switches.

Intermittent electrical problems are quite often caused by corrosion on electric connections or loose connections. Clean and tighten any and all connections including grounds and your problem will be likely to go away.,

Here are the detailed wiring diagrams so you know what wiring is involved. There are separate diagrams on the NMIR system.

If you look down along the shift lever, there is a micro that is engaged by the rod when in reverse. The whisker on the switch might need tweaked a bit so the rod trips the switch.

I belive one of the relays with the x is what is engaged by the key switch. and those are under the shift plate toward the front.
