kpinnc 14,713 #29 Posted July 4 (edited) Mine is the GDI soft start clutch controller for Ogura clutches. I bought direct from them. Cost about $60, though that was almost 6 years ago. GDI controller Edited July 4 by kpinnc

peter lena 9,309 #31 Posted July 4 @midpack just think that softer start is so worth it , most of the decks I see , are solid neglect , my referral to mule drive belt , access , and movability , will easily let you see and feel the very high belt drag , when I go thru deck bearings , for clean out and re grease , I also do the mule drive bearings , and needle bearing in pto cone . the related spin up is amazingly smooth / easy , that is also assisted , by the heim joint on the pto lever shaft end , pto lever starting point , washer / grease , snug up , solid / smooth / easy . pete

It wouldn't consistently start the blades, just squeal. Looking at the mechanics of this thing, It is kind of odd. Just not two flat surfaces going together. The center of the finger section is very flexible. The magnetic field pulls and the center would touch first and continue outward to the edge. The three circles have ridges that mate up the the slotted areas of stationary disc, (tongue and groove). These areas get worn the outer raised ring will rub grove in the opposing disk at the rivets. The rivet grove determines if the game is over. I figure many banzai starts!
