Hi all, looking for some information for a kt19.  We are working on a tractor and It was on a test tank due to a collapsed line.  Well we replaced the line and it looks like the fuel pump is not working.  I want to put on an electric fuel pump, but want to make sure to get one that will work with an opposed twin.

Any help would be appreciated...it is a hydro so hard to move now that we parked it to fix the fuel line.

Thank you all!!

Location is very important, electric fuel pumps are much better at pushing fuel than they are at pulling it so the pump should be located lower than the tank outlet. Your electrical connection can be attached to the hour meter line which is fuse protected and only has power when the key is on.

@kthack657  have a couple of  CARBOLE  MICRO ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS ON MY TRACTORS . low pressure 2-3.5 GPH , also hooked them up to a single led green dash light  to verify their function , just a personal  idea , not really necessary, very solid , dependable , pete

@kthack657

I keep a list of the part numbers I've seen folks recommend over the years.

Facet 60245 or 60304.

Mr. Gasket 42s.

Carter P4070.

I use and recommend the Facet.

I recommend buying from Aircraft Spruce Co..

https://www.aircraftspruce.com

While there on the site get a few good quality tank shutoffs, some tank grommets, and also the good name brand priming bulbs.

I think this maybe an issue, it is on a C type tractor where the tank is under the seat pan, but have had success on other tractor similar, just not an opposed twin engine...

I have a 418-C with the Kohler Twin and under-seat tank. I have the electric pump mounter to the frame near the foot rest and it works well.

We picked a random pump, and seems to do the job.  Yay it functions again!!

I had a failed fuel pump on a series II  KT17 a few years ago.  My first instinct was to replace it with a low pressure, electric pump mounted under the seat as many here have advised.  Well, I didn't like it because it drove my volt meter nuts with it pinging back and forth faster than tennis match.  I could have ran it as is, but I adapted a vacuum style pump that ran off of the front valve cover.
