stvski80085 197 #1 Posted Tuesday at 12:49 PM (edited) I have read all the other posts on wheel color. It appears my B-80 is really just semi-gloss white. The Primary owner I bought it from said it's all original. I do like the white better then almond color. I know another member here has a 77 B-80 and I'm curious if his are also just white. Any thought's? I'm getting ready to buy so I can put new tires and paint rims starting this weekend. Steve I know it's not the best pic below but you can get an idea. ebinmaine 71,559 #2 Posted Tuesday at 12:55 PM They're not white out of the factory. It's a light off white that's close to Rust-Oleum 2x Cottage white. If an original owner claims that they are pure white color out of the factory, then it would have been a unicorn. Possibly painted at the dealership.

But Rustoleum Antigue White is not too far off !
rmaynard 16,139 #5 Posted Tuesday at 01:53 PM My 1977 B-100 (same rims as the B-80) were an off-white. When the tires were removed, the inside of the rims were color matched to a powder-coat color called Oyster White, RAL-1013. Here is a picture of them back on 2010. 1

I also want to keep it somewhat factory but it is a worker. Thanks everyone for the help. I will post a picture when I get done. I will have many sets to do as I have about 4 sets of rear wheels now. I guess I could mix it up for fun. Steve

Trina and I have done five full frame off restorations and several mechanical only ones as well. ALL of ours are workers. They get cleaned up and painted right. Then they get scratched up and repainted later. It's all good. I'm not generally a fan of dark colored wheels on anything at all but @Sparky has done several sets in a sort of battleship grey. They look sharp too. 1
Lee1977 7,103 #10 Posted Wednesday at 12:30 AM The thing to do is paint them what ever color you like. "I have white on a 312-8 C-120/180, black on the Raider 12, Ford Wimbledon White on the 520-H, and Graphite on no 316-8. I also have red dirt that will make any white what ever color it likes, I don't get hung up on choosing a color of white. [/ur he
Racinbob 11,867 #11 Posted Wednesday at 10:23 AM Back in those days Wheel Horse called it linen beige. Dealers had it in Wheel Horse labeled cans. White with a hint of almond. Rustoleum also sold it but it's been years since they've had it. I'm not too particular on the white but just for giggles I mixed some. I used Rusty gloss white and almond in ratios until I got the shade I liked. Probably more tinkering than it's worth but I like to tinker.
