953 nut 59,536 #1 Posted May 30 International Hug Your Cat Day, which is observed on May 30, is an opportunity to lavish your cat with hugs and pamper it as it deserves. Of course, you should already be doing this, but International Hug Your Cat Day is the one day dedicated specifically to doing so. The ‘domestic cat’ is a species in the Felidae family that is often distinguished from the wild members of the larger cat family. Cats are classified as either house cats, farm cats, or feral cats, which roam freely and avoid human contact. Domestic cats are of great importance and value to humans for companionship and their ability to kill rodents. Cats can hear sounds that are too faint or occur at high frequencies beyond human hearing, such as those made by mice and other such small mammals.
wallfish 17,952 #2 Posted May 30 Hug this one! LOL Actually he's really docile and laid back but just looks mean. Yes he's big, and bigger than our dogs are. 2

wallfish 17,952 #7 Posted June 1 Too small to hug. So now we've gone from one extreme to the other. A giant 20 lbs+ cat and now two 20 gram orange kittens. ( they look bigger in the pic but are about 5 inches long) The wife found 2 baby kittens in her tool shed the other morning on Thu, cold, hungry and no cover. They're probably about 2-3 weeks old. All of the cat places which are no kill are full so she took on the motherhood duties of feeding them every 3-4 hours, stimulating them to pee and crap and caring for them. They're are doing very well so far. She's done it before and also foster mothered 4 orphaned baby squirrels. They will end up being given to good homes so they're properly loved and cared for.
Beap52 1,358 #8 Posted June 1 Don't have a cat--Not really looking for one either. Guess I'll have to get my hugs from the wife or the grand children--one of them not housebroke yet whereas a cat would likely be.
