rivahmon 2 #3 Posted May 30 (edited) This on a 520Xi tractor. I'm trying help a friend remotely. I didn't think it would try to fire at all if there was a safety switch issue. CH20 is spec number 64583 dated 1998 and don't know which ignition system variant it is. Owner can't find model and serial number tag, where should it be located? 953 nut 58,993 #4 Posted May 30 Second hand remote diagnosis, that can be challenging. If it is a unit that has the carburetor with a solenoid fuel **** off built into it I would take a look at the wiring going to it.
rivahmon 2 #5 Posted May 30 (edited) We're picking through the fuel system, but it should run on WD40 and does not stay running. Carb does have shutoff solenoid. Fuel pump (vacuum type) seems weak and just spurts so that's next, but I think ignition is suspect since it won't run on WD40. Not sure which variant ignition it has.
